Diverse moods of dressing

Halloween 2013 was not tame. It was a red faux leather peplum top and a faux catsuit made for the some costume drama that usually happens in October each year. It has gotten bigger in mumbai. I am glad I have my own atelier where I can make my own clothes. I am lucky, I get to wear new clothes each day. New tresses, new dresses make a girl look happy, confident and always sure of herself. Happiness around the corner! 

Jaipur magic

Jaipur one of my favourite cities......which comes alive every January at the diggi palace. It reminds of the college festivals - sitting in the lawns, meeting friends, chatting, and attending sessions. The hidden writer in me, that I always fight, comes out and I have great admiration for people who write. It requires discipline and perserverance to write for years and edit and rewrite. Just like every other vocation but a lot more. My attention span has diminished - always checking mails on the phone and this Whatsapp is so distracting that thankfully on my new laptop I have decided to chose it as a writing instrument only and it seems like a sane space. Back to the basics  jeypore style ! Until 2015 litfest fix. 

Dress for Change: AAP Jacket

Aam adami party (AAP jacket)                Revved up by the winds of change in the country, we at GOLMAAL created this politico jacket ! It's inspired by the Nehru jacket with a layer of lace to give a feminine look ! We decided to try it out, and damn it looks good ! Have you got your AAP jacket in your new year closet ! Trust me it's a great investment cause we will hear a lot about AAP this year ! !

Stunning Bandra architecture

Now, now...déjà vu.                        I visited Shillong where my dad was posted at the lia-kor peak airforce station when I was barely 10, but this piece of slated roof and mix of yellow & brown colours made me do a sudden flashback moment.

Yeah - this is bandra. A hidden castle on bandstand. Luckily the watchman let me wander around and take photos. 

ain't this just a great piece with monolith pillars and the dual roofs are so ornately developed in sandstone colours.                      The sad part is that this marvellous building is full of squat dwellers.

Well, I spend a fabulous afternoon on bandstand ! Little did I realise that I would end up discovering some great pieces of architecture and homes! One of my fav hobbies 

This piece of Art Deco meets baroque is stunning. The windows, the twin stairwells, the gate are all so interestingly interlaced together.

10 days to Christmas ! The best time of the year has arrived....this weekend the mood was certainly accelerated: Xmas bazaars, hill road had a row of stars, mount Mary church had choir practice, in the rooms to dark night. And I have been attracted to a lot of reds and greens lately......
