The Big Apple

New York New York- the city really inspires me so much. I lived here for one year in 2003 -04, and now! The way fashion works here is something else. In many ways living in mumbai only makes living in New York easily copable. With the hectic pace of life in mumbai...., and the Darwinesque mindset, it makes the big apple a gentle experience - the big apple collection will release in mumbai this mid-November ! Xo

What an evening! A great turnout at the Art Deco'esque shopping destination: the palladium mall, in the lower patel district of mumbai. Magic everywhere, electric mood, and lots of shopping till midnight. Very Cinderella like.

Here's my nest. My creative space, where all the wonderful ideas take it's first shape in sketches, moodboards and concepts.

Here's my atelier, doing a drape and fit check of the garment. This 'piece of work' took 2 man days and 3 master tailors to create, and is going to travel to fashion weeks in the fash-cap cities: london, milan, then paris this month to early next month. X 0 The Globe-trotting dress.

Good morning September

Excited about September! The biggest month for fashion worldwide. Going to New York will be exciting with my fall collection pieces. This is a portrait shot by my friend, ace adfilmaker and photographer, the talented Sunhil. And, below is the woman who inspired me daily, mademoiselle Chanel. My first trip overseas was to Paris at age 14, and I have been many times to Paris, also by rue cambon, 31. Gabrielle's first store behind the ritz hotel. She died in 1971, and I was born in 1972. I feel a bit of her soul in me, always ! Xoxo
