Blessings of the Universe in New York

My long time friend, Stefano's house has a lot of Art And artefacts from India, from Chor Bazaar And other parts of India. Also, fabrics, pottery, books from India.    The terrace is full of plants.                           I also found a copy of the Coffee table Book, by Italian photographer, Luca Artioli, and my pictures in this Book. Serendipity. Signs and sounds of the magical universe. Life is magic. Loving it. And in gratuitide for such amazing friends. 

Dress in khadi Fabric

The fabric is khadi. Unique handloomed fabric. Indigenous fabric promoted by gandhi. I created a modern pleated, pocketed dress in the artisanal fabric, teamed it with the punjabi jhuti's and a neckpiece from inde jewellery designer from panch batti in Jaipur. Walking around Montenapolone and the duomo in the heart of milan, at ease with india ness of technique and thought in my dressing and my style. Yup! Unique is the new trend. Be different. Be you. Be free. Happy summer ! 

Jaipur magic

Jaipur one of my favourite cities......which comes alive every January at the diggi palace. It reminds of the college festivals - sitting in the lawns, meeting friends, chatting, and attending sessions. The hidden writer in me, that I always fight, comes out and I have great admiration for people who write. It requires discipline and perserverance to write for years and edit and rewrite. Just like every other vocation but a lot more. My attention span has diminished - always checking mails, Whatsapp, that on my laptop, I chose it only as a writing instrument so no messaging etc - back to the basics - jeypore style ! Until 2015.

Back to the basics  jeypore style ! Until 2015 litfest fix. 

The princess diaries

Palatial, mega, superbly classy, and ornate palace hotel, is my latest source of inspiration for the next collection. Girls, live like a princess daily. That's my wish for you always. Xoxo! Simrita !!!!
